Developer Fatshark is currently in the middle of celebrating a decade of developing Warhammer games, starting with End Times – Vermintide from 2015. Dubbed 10 Years of Tide, the event just kicked off a giveaway, offering all PC gamers access to the horde-fighting title Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
The game takes players into the Warhammer Fantasy universe, letting four unlikely heroes join together to take down hordes of Chaos army brutes and Skaven. There are five different heroes to choose from in this first-person experience, and each one has different career choices to switch up the gameplay and build variety. Everything from passive and active abilities to equipment can change when choosing careers.
“Our five heroes have returned to take on an even greater threat than before – the combined forces of a ruinous Chaos army and the swarming Skaven horde,” reads the game description. “The only thing standing between utter defeat and victory is you and your allies. If you fall – so too will the Empire.”
The 10 years of Tide celebration is far from over!

The 2018-released cooperative title is still receiving updates and new content from Fatshark. Just a couple of days ago, it received the Return to the Reik for all players for free, bringing back a popular campaign from the original game with unique boat‑focused gameplay.
The Warhammer: Vermintide 2 giveaway on Steam will come to an end on November 24 at 10 AM PT, giving you a whole weekend to add the game permanently to your Steam library and keep it forever.
