Recent leaks from supply chain sources in Korea offer hints at the memory, storage, and pricing details of the highly anticipated iPhone Fold.
According to the leaks (detailed in South Korea’s The Bell and translated by 9to5Mac), Apple plans to offer 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM in its debut foldable, supplied by none other than Samsung. Despite reports indicating that Apple views the iPhone Fold as a top-tier product, 12GB RAM is no more than what’s in the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The iPhone Fold is also expected to come in three storage varieties: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, similar to the upper end of Apple’s current iPhone lineup.
Now, to another important variable: pricing. Based on leaked rough currency conversions, multiple outlets say the iPhone Fold could start at around $2,000 in the US, with higher storage options sitting closer to $2,300 or even $2,500. If this turns out to be true, the foldable would become Apple’s most expensive iPhone to date, with a price similar to that of high‑end MacBooks and iPad Pros.
But these details remain unconfirmed, and Apple could still change the iPhone Fold’s configurations or pricing before launch. For now, we can only safely assume the foldable iPhone will aim for the very top of the market, as many other foldables have.
