Battlefield 6 Season 5 takes players to Nevada across three new maps, but there’s more to uncover. Here’s when its three key updates will arrive and what you can expect from them.
After Season 4 introduced naval warfare and added more juice to aerial dogfights, the developers are taking us away from the ocean and deep into the desert with the fifth free season of post-launch content. BF6’s Year 2 begins here, and it’s starting with a bang.
Battlefield 6 Season 5 Release Date – Start & End Times
BF6 Season 5 is bringing the war to Las Vegas slightly earlier than we anticipated. The new battlefront will be ignited in mid-October and take us right into Christmas.
- Battlefield 6 Season 5 release date: October 13, 2026 – 8:00 UTC (Update 2.1.1.0) / 12:00 UTC (live)
- Battlefield 6 Season 5 end window: January 2027 (expected)
EA and Battlefield Studios have also shared with us the dates for the second and third updates/phases of Season 5. Casino Heist kicks off on November 10, and Frozen Aces starts on December 8. Therefore, it seems the plan is to wrap things up and move into Season 6 at some point of January 2027.
Battlefield 6 Season 5 Content
“In Season 5, war erupts on the Las Vegas strip. Defend highly classified secrets on the new Battlefield 6 map, Area 51. Drop into the fastest and most aggressive Battle Royale yet with Rapid Royale. Climb the ranks in the all-new Open Series Competition and the official launch of Ranked BR.
Siege of Las Vegas introduces new weapons, hardware, and a limited time Dead Space Halloween event featuring a mysterious artifact that threatens to corrupt the world in a new PVE experience.”
Three maps, six weapons, two vehicles, and more make Battlefield 6 Season 5 one of the most packed (if not the fullest) seasons yet. On top of all the new additions, REDSEC (the game’s BR mode) is going ranked, and Dead Space is bleeding into BF6 just in time for Halloween. Of course, you’ll also be able to obtain premium cosmetics with a new paid battle pass on top of the free tier.
